Very few in-person facilitators can make the leap to virtual - but Olivia makes it look easy. I've recently partnered with Olivia and CEB (now Gartner) on a high-stakes MOOC for the Microsoft global sales audience. Over the course of a three-day film shoot, it was abundantly clear that Olivia is not only a competent and dynamic professional, but a talented, on-camera facilitator as well. An average facilitator might wonder "how is capturing video for virtual consumption any different from live training?" - but Olivia held fast to the north star of virtual learning, which is summarized in these questions: "what will the learner experience?" and "how can I help facilitate that learning?" She is a natural, she is engaging, but more importantly - she is learner-focused. And that, after all, is what designing learning is all about.
